Ngarunui Beach

Being Raglan's main sandy beach, Ngarunui Beach is ideal for swimming, learning to surf, or just sunbathing in the sun.

The beach has an area patrolled by surf lifesavers conveniently in front of the walkway from the car park.

If you're after a nice long stroll along the beach, you can walk the 6km from the Raglan Domain to Ngarunui Beach at low tide.

Pack a picnic and enjoy the views at the Wainui Reserve above the beach, where you'll find lookouts, sculptures, walking trails and toilets.

Ngarunui Beach is great for people learning to surf with the Raglan Surfing School operating on the beach.

If you've had a few lessons before you can hire out boards and wetsuits by the hour near the main entrance to the beach.
